First, if you have the option of attending a drivers education course near your house…do it.  There is no substitution for real world learning.

Second, read the study guide that is specific for your state.  These are usually free and you can find them at your state’s DMV website.

Third, practice makes perfect!  The easiest way to practice for the permit test is to take a practice permit test over and over.  Practice tests are great because you will find out the type of questions that you’ll see on the actual test.

You can find a practice permit test online from many sources.  They are usually limited to just 10-20 questions and most of the time the whole purpose of the test is to drive traffic to the website so you can see advertising.  Pretty lame.
